Maldives - Pre

Maldives, Mauritius, Fiji, Christmas Island and Bora-Bora are in my list since forever...I have always loved sun, sea and white sand. 

I have decided to explore Maldives during 2016 Chinese New Year even though its a Peak time to visit Maldives

My budget all in apprx MYR2000 @ USD479.00 @ MVR7,159.00. 

There will be 5 of us going for this trip. I  need to have a workable budget that everyone can afford. 

Before proceed with this trip, I need to find out few basic info about  Maldives such as 
below :

• Male airport is also known as Ibrahim Nasir International Airport

• There are around 1,190 in total. The islands are divided into:  

Inhabited islands- those officially recognised as towns, villages, fishing and farming communities with permanent human habitation. 

Uninhabited islands- islands with no permanent human habitations. 

Disappeared islands- islands which during recorded history, have been completely eroded away, claimed by the sea due to the sea-level rise or assimilated by other islands.

• Maldives is a Muslim majority country

• 
  

• Currency in Maldivian Ruffiyaa and they also accept USD

• No VISA is required for Malaysian

• Activities and the benchmark prices..such as snorkeling, island hoping, night fishing, diving etc.
